This site uses first-party analytics. Nothing is shipped to Google Analytics or any third-party tracker. Everything below is stored on our own servers and used only to make the site better.
What we collect
- Page views — which page you visited, the page that referred you, your device type (mobile / desktop / tablet), approximate country, and an anonymous session ID.
- Engagement — how far you scrolled and how long you stayed.
- Outbound clicks— when you click a restaurant's website, booking, or Instagram link, we count it.
- Search queries — what you type into the on-site search bar.
- Performance metrics — page-load timings (Core Web Vitals), so we can find and fix slow pages.
- Errors and 404s — when something breaks or a link is dead.
What we don't collect
- Your full IP address.
- Your name, email, or any personal identifier — unless you give it to us (newsletter signup, contact form).
- Cross-site tracking. We don't share anything with ad networks.
- Browsing on other sites.
How long we keep it
Raw page views and clicks are kept for up to 12 months, then aggregated into trend data and the per-row detail discarded. Anonymous session IDs (a random string in a cookie) expire after a year.
Opt out
Use the toggle at the top of this page. It sets a flag in your browser's local storage; while it's on, we won't record any analytics events from this browser. You can turn it back on any time.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email and the source (which form you used) so we can send you the newsletter and understand which content drives sign-ups. We don't share your email with anyone. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
