Some days the calendar is sleepy. This is not one of them. Thursday, September 3 has a real run of gallery, library, film, theater, and live music picks across New Haven, so if you’ve been saying “we should do something this week,” this is your excuse.

A lot of these events cluster around Grove, Wall, High, and Chapel, which means you can actually do the rare New Haven thing where your evening flows without a ton of planning.

- Heirloom — 1157 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. Useful if you’re heading to or from Yale Repertory Theatre.
